The federal government lists several ways it commonly owes money to Americans. Among the most common are unclaimed economic stimulus checks or unclaimed tax refunds. You can blame mistyped or changed addresses for this problem. Millions of dollars are currently unclaimed as many people are completely unaware of the money owed to them.
Less commonly, the government holds payments for things such as unclaimed shares in credit unions, mortgage insurance refunds, unclaimed pension payments, class action lawsuit settlements and awards.
Also, many payments fall into the category of “government benefits.” Americans can qualify for these if they live in a disaster area, suffer from disability, are seeking higher education, or are seniors living in retirement.
I would like to run for Mayor of Buchanan, Virginia. After spending alot of time there I found a need to help the citizens of that area. There seems to be alot of problems, currently they cannot drink their water because it has been contaminated for over three years and just recently brought to the public’s attention. In order to run for Mayor I have to have a resident within the city limits. I do not have the money to purchase a business/resident there. Where would I ask for hlep?
