Your Tax Professional: A Good Contact Year Round
Many people visit their tax professional once a year. This is when their final return is due. Once they get this out of the way they do not want to see their tax professional for another 365 days. While there is nothing wrong with this way of thinking, and it may work out for you, do not be so set in your ways. There are many times when you may need to call your tax professional during the year to get your questions answered. Remember, it is better to ask at the right time than to wait too long and have something go wrong.
Your tax professional is a good contact no matter what time of the year it is. You can call your professional anytime of the year if you have a question on your mind. For instance, you may be thinking about certain tax credits but are unsure of if you will qualify. Why not call your tax professional to ask for help? Just because you do not have a return that needs filed doesn’t mean that your tax professional will turn you away. They are more than happy to help with any question that may be on your mind. Remember, tax professionals are not nearly as busy during off-peak months. They have plenty of time to answer all your questions.
You don’t have to talk to your tax professional more than once per year. If you have nothing to ask or do not need any help, leave well enough alone until your next return is due. But if anything comes up in the meantime, make sure you call your tax professional for assistance and/or clarification. A good tax professional is always ready to help!
