Looking for Investment Opportunities: Cheap Stocks and Clean Tech
Even as the stock market struggles this morning, there are some investment opportunities. But it is important to note that you should always be careful, since many of these investing opportunities can carry a relatively high amount of risk. Check your risk tolerance, and make sure that you can absorb a loss, should one occur. That said, I want to take a brief look at two possible investment opportunities: cheap stocks and clean tech.
Cheap stocks
Right now, cheap stocks abound. This gives you a chance to buy more stock for your money. However, be aware that depending on what you buy, it can be just as effective to spend $200 to get one share of something solid as it is to get 40 shares of a $5 cheap stock. It just depends on how things fall out.

Clean tech
Clean tech is another area that could provide investment opportunities. With oil prices continuing to rise, it’s no surprise that people are beginning to see the value in clean tech — especially in terms of alternative energy. Solar and wind power stocks have been doing pretty well, showing good growth over the last three years.
Indeed, venture capital investments in clean tech have increased almost tenfold as investors scramble to get in on the action. And while some solar stocks are nearing $300 a share, it is possible to get in on other clean tech stocks that could provide promising returns. Be be aware that this is a growth area, and that stocks are volatile — and that they may pan out to nothing. Carefully choose your clean tech investments.
