Credit Cards for Charity

Last night, a fireman made his annual call to my household for charitable donations. We donated last year. This year, due to a recent household budget crunch, my husband declined. He, like myself, is very inclined toward charitable giving. However, sometimes fears of making ends meet can hold a person back. Or maybe it’s just a matter of self-discipline or even greed.

Upon further thought, a donation to the firefighters isn’t going to break the bank and we will probably call the number back today. But in these tough economic times, how does one make their wallet match their heart’s charitable intent. Like Mr. Credit Card, I strive for about 10-percent charitable giving. Thus, his recent post on how credit cards can further your charitable donations really caught my eye:
