Car Decals Takes a New Step Towards Art… Infectious Art!
Decal pinstripes have been around for awhile now, but before that, there was hand drawn pinstripes and murals. Hand painted pinstripes were a subtle form of art that could bring a new dimension to any cars boring exterior and enabled a consumer to set his or her vehicle aside from others.

Many of these so called pinstripers were true artists and would create masterpieces on vehicles. The more you were willing to pay, the fancier the design would go. Entire murals of art continues to be a very popular form of custom paint for a show vehicle.

Today, to get a professional to pinstripe a vehicle by hand costs a hundred or more, with an entire mural going into the thousands. This is a big reason why hand pinstriping has widely been replaced by most dealerships with vinyl pinstripes.
Instead of paying an artist to individually paint each design, the dealer can get by with paying almost anyone a few bucks to slap on a strip of vinyl tape. It isn’t too hard to apply… it isn’t too expensive to purchase the materials… and if you mess up, you can just pull it back and start again.
With cost savings comes popularity and the vinyl decal has really taken off with a multitude of styles, such as multicolored stripes, flames, lightning, tribal art, rips, and tears. Just about anything that used to be painted is now a vinyl transfer that can be added to your car.
A new company called, Infectious, is now setting the stage to take vinyl to the next level with a series of artists renderings that can be transferred to your vehicles exterior. These custom designs appear much more individualistic and artistic as opposed to the traditional copycat Fast and Furious designs you find on the street today.

While many of the designs are quite cartoonish, they are also kind of fun if used on the right car. A $1 million dollar Bugatti, he** no, but a $30,000 Mini Cooper, why not?

They come in a variety of colors and styles by various featured artists…

Interesting…

Well, this sure beats the Hello Kitty Car…

But then again, almost anything does!
