5 Most Dangerous Vehicles of 2007
There have been a lot of studies done recently on the safety of vehicles. The tricky part is that in some instances the cause of the danger is the vehicle itself, while others it is the drivers. It has been found that some vehicles attract a certain kind of unsafe driver.
For instance, the drivers of sports cars are often riskier than the average driver and find themselves in more accidents. The Camaro, Corvette, and Mustang have long been known to cause many accidents due to this fact.
Of course there is also the fact that the power levels associated with these vehicles give the opportunity for these drivers to reach the speeds that become so dangerous, not to mention the adrenaline rush that these cars can promote.
It really becomes a case that is similar to the question of whether guns kill people or people kill people. Is it the cars fault or the persons?
Regardless of how you feel about this argument, the (IIHS) Insurance Institute for Highway Safety does a study every year of the highest vehicle deaths per million vehicles. Once again you will see that some of these deaths are involved with that of a high powered vehicle.
On the other hand however, some would be surprised to find quite a few rather “slower†compact cars that are possibly on this list for their lack of size and protection value during the occurrence of an accident.
Here are the 15 top dangerous vehicles that have caused the most deaths.
